Hoop Yoga at She FITNESS
Remember hula hooping as a child? The sheer happiness and laughter it brought you? Well, those hooping skills are still inside you, bursting to come out.
In this one-hour class, we will use the principle of Hoop Yoga where spinning and stretching are combined in a fun, cardiovascular workout. It will be a mix of yoga poses and flow sequences, while hooping helps you strengthen your core, tone your arms and legs, and lets you shake ya booty to some awesome tunes.
Most importantly, Hoop Yoga is FUN. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been on a yoga mat or in a hoop before. We promise it’s a fun workout that will make you smile. So join us for a wonderful, invigorating hour of fun and fulfillment.
Hooping is actually an innovative movement art where dance, play, yoga, fitness, bodywork and meditation come together in a beautiful symmetry.
Key benefits of hoop yoga are:
- Stress relief and letting go
- Core strengthening and toning
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Increase flexibility
- Complete workout for the body and mind
So, join us and experience being a child again. Renew your spirit and learn to let go. Gloria of Hoop Yoga will take you through a series of moves that engage the body. You are urged to listen to your body and advance according to how you feel that day.

Get Fit and Save a Pet
Join now and get fit and get in shape while supporting a cause!
For only $5, you can join our Saturday fitness session at Centennial Park. Invite a friend along to have a great workout and support a great cause! All proceeds will be donated to the Pet Rescue. PetRescue is a not-for-profit organisation that finds new homes for lost and abandoned pets. We believe every homeless pet deserves the chance to find a new loving family, but with rescue groups across the country struggling to feed and care for animals, many pets miss out on homes simply because nobody knows they are available.
More than 25,000 pets find homes each year thanks to their PetRescue listings.
But still over ten times that number are killed each year in Australia because homes can’t be found for them.
You can help rescue groups keep saving pets. Your support gives small and independent rescue groups a high level of exposure to potential adopters, helps raise awareness of the benefits of rescue pet adoption and helps homeless and abandoned pets find the forever families of their dreams.
Join us on our Meetup on Saturday, 4 June 2011. For more information, please visit Fit for a Fiver http://meetu.ps/14QYZ.

Grab a Friend and Get Fit Two-gether!
Running and exercising with other people can liven up more than your routine. You can go faster or do more situps than you work out on your own. However, going to a group training for the first time can be intimidating to some.
The best thing about having a friend is that they can always pull us through anything in life. And in fitness, that friend could be your exercise buddy, running partner or simply your number motivator. Your friend helps you give that extra push to do more burpees or finish the plank with ease.
Having your best friend share the huffs and puffs of fitness training is one of the smartest and most practical way to integrate fun and hard work. Because you feel accountable to your friend, it will be harder for you to come up with excuses to not bring your exercise gear, wake up in the morning or simply not sweat it out.
Also, having your friends around can also stir friendly competition and positive vibes, which in turn help you (and your friend) stay inspired, motivated and focused.
So what are you waiting for, grab your buddy now and start having fun while getting fit two-gether! We’ll have a Bring-a-Friend Week starting Monday 23 May 2011 until Friday 27 May 2011. They are not required to book sessions online, but they have to answer our pre-exercise questionnaire using this link http://shefitness.wufoo.com/ forms/preexercise-questionnaire-bringafriend/. You’ll never know but this could be the start of something great that you and your friend will reap numerous benefits!
Bring a Friend and Get Fit Two-gether!
