Blog - Paulette Saibi – She Fitness Redfern Boot Camp February Member Of the Month
Congratulations to Paulette Saibi, She Fitness Redfern Boot camp Member of the Month for February!!!
I am so unbelievably impressed by your dedication to training, it's been amazing seeing the improvement in your fitness. You somehow manage to push it harder and harder every session no matter what we do. And you're attendance has been absolutely brilliant ever since you joined us.
Your efforts have been noticed by all the girls too. When I announced your name to the group, everyone was in complete agreement at how deserving you are of this accolade. They've all noticed how committed you are, how hard you work and how fantastic you are in supporting others in the group. I'm looking forward to continuing to support you and helping you to achieve your fitness goals and hopefully you will inspire others to be as dedicated and focused as you are.
I love training you and we all love having you as a valued member of the She Fitness community, especially at our Redfern Boot camp!!
When did you join She FITNESS?
October 2013 but didn't really get serious until January 2014 where a certain trainer (Thomasine) gave me the drive with her hard but fun routines and her caring approach to push myself.
Why did you join She FITNESS?
I was looking for a new inspiring way to work out where I needed to be committed, not just sign up to a gym membership which I knew I would not use after the first few weeks. It also happened to be the time that Richie made contact with me as a past member, so it all just seemed right. I love that She fitness is dedicated to women only so it doesn't matter how daggy we look in the morning we just knuckle down for the next 45 mins and once completed, feel exhausted but as though we have accomplished something at the end of it.
What were your goals ? What did you want to achieve?
I never started out with any goals other than to add some fitness into my sedentary life to start the morning right and was hoping that would be enough to kick start my drive to want more for myself.
How did you feel when you started?
Very sluggish, overweight and getting bigger and more unhappy with myself. Most of the exercises were a struggle at first.
What changes did you make to live a healthy lifestyle?
I have tried to commit to doing 3 classes a week and am hoping there are more classes listed at Redfern in the future which I can also commit to. Looked at what I have been eating and made portion control changes and looked at healthier options being introduced into my diet.
How do you feel now?
Inspired by excellent trainers and workout buddies who encourage and support you so you don't feel you are doing this alone and if you come last, it doesn't matter the group supports you. Fitness levels have improved greatly and I want to push myself and do better at every session rather than just going through the motions of getting it done.
How will you continue to support yourself and live a healthy lifestyle?
Continue to focus on improving my fitness levels by using She fitness for motivation, education and the fun aspect.
What are your new goals?
To lose 15 kilos by the end of July 2014, to eat healthier and reduce my portion sizes and to continue with She fitness where I love working out with all the girls.
