Blog - Sinead Barry – She Fitness Redfern Boot Camp Member Of the Month
She Fitness Redfern Boot Camp – Congratulations to Sinead Barry, She Fitness Redfern Boot camp Member of the Month for March!!!
You have been a part of the She Fitness community for a long time now so I'm really pleased to take this opportunity to give formal recognition for the consistent hard work you put in to your health and fitness!
You are the epitome of what other She Fitness members aspire to be – dedicated to your health and fitness (in your sessions as well as your overall lifestyle) and you work hard but have fun at the same time all with a positive attitude.
You also manage to maintain fantastic technique and posture while still pushing it in every exercise which is not an easy feat.
You are the quiet achiever in the group, getting on with it and no doubt probably think that others in the group are more deserving of this accolade which is a credit to your supportive personality.
CONGRATULATIONS, Sinead and keep up the good work!
More on Sinead below….
When did you join She FITNESS?
Why did you join She FITNESS?
I was over the gym but love working out and wanted to take my workouts outdoors. Being inside all day at work made me feel like I wanted to run around outside after work!
What were your goals ? What did you want to achieve?
For me, keeping fit is as much mental as it is physical. Yes I like to work out to keep in shape but I also need it to stay sane! So I didn't have goals as such. I just feel better physically and mentally when I'm active.
What changes did you make to live a healthy lifestyle?
I suppose the biggest change I made joining She Fitness was changing from working out after work to working out in the mornings. I find this means there are no excuses, you either get out of bed and workout or you don't…you don't have all day to talk yourself into not going!
How do you feel now?
I feel good. I feel strong, healthy and happy. I love going to the She Fitness sessions, I get trained by great trainers but most importantly, I get to work out with a great group of strong like-minded women. We work hard but we have a laugh and a chat as well and the sessions fly by.
How will you continue to support yourself and live a healthy lifestyle?
I believe in balance.I love food, I love a cheeky glass of wine and I love a good workout! I believe that when it comes to exercise, you need to find something you enjoy and make it close to home or work so it's easy to get to. I also do a lot of yoga which I think really compliments the boot camp workouts.
What are your new goals?
I hate running so I'd like to challenge myself to do a few of the organised runs around Sydney. Every year, I say I'll do City to Surf, maybe this is the year I actually do it.
